What should candidates expect from an Early Years recruitment agency in Bristol?

One of the questions we often hear during interviews is what should candidates expect from an Early Years recruitment agency in Bristol, and it's a good question for new candidates to ask any Early Years sector recruiter.

Since 2009, Class Recruit have aimed to provide the very best service to clients and candidates alike. Both are equally important to us.

The most important thing we provide all of our candidates with is a friendly, approachable and professional Early Years recruitment service, covering vacancies in Bristol, Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire.

Some candidates feel daunted about registering with a recruitment agency, and are worried that we will tell their current employer they are looking to leave them or are attending Early Years sector interviews. We will not.

We provide our candidates with an appropriate level of support, whether that's to help prepare for an interview with a nursery or school, to help candidates in accepting a new role, as well as supporting candidates during their job search efforts. We are always available, at the end of a phone, and here to help.

We give support and guidance to all our candidates working on Early Years sector roles whether they are temporary or full-time positions.

Class Recruit prides itself on an honest open approach, and welcome all feedback from candidates.

We do not charge candidates to help them find work - this is illegal. Our role as a recruitment agency specialising in Early Years settings is to help candidates make the right decisions within their nursery careers.

As Early Years experts, we work closely with the settings who hire us, and have a good understanding of their ethos. This means that we can introduce candidates to a setting which will closely match their ethos and work ethic.

Working with a recruitment agency can provide candidates with flexibility around other commitments such as studying or family commitments.

Nursery agency work also gives candidates the opportunity to gain experience in different settings and Early Years approaches without committing to one nursery.

An experienced Early Years recruiter will give candidates all of this advice and assistance, and it should be expected as part of a dedicated employment service.

Class Recruit also take time to review fully each candidate CV and suggest ways to keep it up-to-date and accurate, as well as how to improve it.

Some candidates think of nursery agency jobs as only providing a temporary option without any real job security, but this is not the case.

Many nurseries in Bristol, for example, offer long-term and ongoing positions.

Temporary nursery work can also open up the door for permanent work in the future.

Candidates starting out in temporary positions can find themselves being offered permanent positions when openings are available at those settings.

It is a common idea that supply or bank work doesn't give a steady or regular source of income, if hours are based on the changing weekly needs of nurseries.

At Class Recruit, however, we offer a guaranteed scheme of up to 30 hours per week, providing that the candidate is available five full days per week.

This means if we do not manage to book in a shift on any of those days during the week, a candidate still gets paid, ensuring them 30 hours' pay per week.

Candidates feel comfortable to give us regular and honest feedback about nursery and school settings, meaning we can re-book them to the settings where they feel particularly welcomed and enjoy their Early Years work.

We believe that the above highlights some of the elements a candidate should expect to see from an Early Years recruitment agency in Bristol.
